About Leavenworth's Planning
Commission . . .
The Planning Commission is
responsible for long range planning and legislative policy
recommendations to the City Council. Members are appointed by the
Mayor and must reside within the city limits or own property within the
city or it's urban growth area. All members volunteer their time.
In 2008-2009 the Planning Commission will be working to complete updates
of the Transportation and Parks Plans as well as creating a Regional
Trails Plan, updating the Housing element of the City’s Comprehensive
Plan and updating Shoreline and Critical Areas Ordinances.
