About Leavenworth's Planning
Commission . . .
The Planning Commission is
responsible for long range planning and legislative policy
recommendations to the City Council. Members are appointed by the
Mayor and must reside within the city limits or own property within the
City or its Urban Growth Area. All members volunteer their time.
In 2009, the Planning Commission will be working to complete the Transportation
and Upper Valley Regional Trails Plans. They will also be working
on a variety of updates to the Comprehensive Plan, as well as the
Critical Areas, Parks, Shoreline, and Utility Standards Plans to name a
few.
